I think between Seatrout99 and brotherinlaw, the taters, corn, sausage for low country boil for friday is taken care of. I'm bringing 5 pounds of shrimp and we need at least 5 more pounds. Also need some drinks(tea and water).

I've got the fish and hushpuppies taken care of for saturday night. dStockwell is bringing chicken for the grill.
Maybe some baked bean and cole slaw to go with it?

Is the shrimp needed on Friday night? If so, I think we can cover that, even if we end up heading to G'Ville "the wife will have to drive through C'Belle Friday anyhow"

Wevans,

Stop posting the weather! :smt018

You're going to jinx it! :smt075
The roar of the engine, the morning air blowing on your face, the darkness is broken as the sun rises above the water revealing the silhouette of a lone bird in the water..........in front of the boat........standing.

Looks like we can't make it this year. Took Dad to the Doctor and yesterday he had to make appointments with the family practice doc, neurologist, cardioologist, eye surgeon, optomologist, whatever you call the doc that removes cataracts, and a podiatrist. I start bringing him in today. Then Mom's blood failed sme sort of test yesterday and she has to get in to see her cardiologist. Not complaining I am blessed to have them with us still. After taking Dad on several more errands yesterday we stopped for a late lunch. It was a great feeling to sit with him and relax without having to rush. He was smiling all the while.

I feel sick missing the Bash & the snapper opening. The only good news is we can go in 2 weeks when the doctoring is done and maybe spend a month! I begged the family to go without me and let me catch up with them but they refused to let me make the drive myself. I guess they are right. The most fun of vacationing is being with family.
