If you decide to buy, consider parts availability. It is dang near impossible to find parts for many of the older models and when you can find them expect to pay a premium. On the other hand, certain models have a huge following and thus a large supply of aftermarket replacement parts. Heck, some of 'em you can build without ever buying a car.
