I don't skip it,I analyze it. For example this excerpt from the synopsis. ADVISORY CONDITIONS ARE A POSSIBILITY...HOWEVER...FOR NOW WILL GO WITH HIGH END CAUTIONARY CONDITIONS .
I also go based on eyes on conditions such as Friday that called for the same conditions and the SCA was in effect. I was there...it didn't happen. In fact it got nearly still for a while.
The same as conditions this morning. Six mph from the north where it is some wind. Calm in other parts.
But then the POSSIBILTY could kick in and the wind might blow.
The grouper boats that came in when we did described offshore yesterday as choppy first thing in the morning and then calmed down. Same thing we found on the flats. Breezy 4 miles out subsiding to calm once the sun came up good.
They are correct about part of the weather prediction. It is cooler..

It may seem calm sitting at your computer, but check out C tower off Appalach http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=SGOF1 . If you don't want to copy and paste winds NNE 24 gusting to 28 knots :-o

Wasn't at the computer. Drove back to the coast to see it. No wind. Flat water.
I wasn't planning on fishing at C tower anyway.

JT, it doesn't really matter. It's not your tournament and it says right in the rules that if a small craft advisory, it'll be called off, postponed or rescheduled. That's pretty well black & white.

JT, you crack me up  I guess if you can't actually go fishing for real, you may as well fish around on these forums
Liam did go fishing yesterday and said it was really nice for the first hour or so right at dawn. Then with the north wind blowing hard and the tide falling quick, everything emptied out like the toilet got flushed. It probably wouldn't have been any fun to stay out there.
