CSMarine:

Where you been hiding!

Hope you got those cattle suppliment tubs I left at the fruit stand.

Thanks for the tip on rigging with pinfish. I haven't tried that rig but will.

Seems to me cut pinfish is even better than whole pinfish.

Do pinfish leave for warmer waters or stay around all year?

Hey SS,

I've been around. Had some trouble with my computer for a while. I stopped by the fruit stand a few weeks back and asked the guy about the tubs. He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. As far as the Pinfish goes. They do get hard to catch when the water gets down in the 60's but they are still there. I've caught more Reds in the winter with "Shinner Tails" than any other bait. I like to fish with them under a cork (not Cajin Thunder) I'm talking about the huge ones that are usually green and white. Throw them up on the oyster bars for the reds on low tide. Especially around large rocks. I just anchor up and pitch out a couple poles. The whole Pins work good, I usually try to have one of each rigged up. The largest Redfish, largest Cobia, largest flounder and the largest trout I've ever caught was on Shinner tails.
