Capt Dave, I just picked up a few. Just curious, how do you fish them. Do you just reel em in, a little light jigging or do you jig them aggressively? Thanks for the help

I haven't had much luck w/ the eels as of yet. Fishing for cobes I got no hits, switched the jig head and eel out for a red head and 4" mullet gulp, BOOM. cobia on.
Definitely a presentation thing; I'll have to make a few casts in the pool and watch it to get the action down.

Unless I spot cobes on the surface, I let the eels drop to the bottom and then aggressively jig them up with short strokes of the rod tip. That's been the best technique for me. The eels dart and dive like live ones. Mainly using the 3/4-ounce head with 6-inch tail. If the water is cloudy or silty, the bright colors like candy apple red or lime green show better than the olive/pearl (natural).

Stopped by Kevin's in Tally today and picked up a few to try. Guy at the counter flipped out, said those things should catch some Cobia, where did you get them??? Pointed him to the fishing section! I left a few for the rest of ya!

the ones we found today must been stuck up - turned their nose up at a pink and white and the purple/black sparkel--- but then again, after we hung and caught a few, they ran up on pinfish then turned - guess they figured it out-
