That sucks. Lost a small piece of a skeg in that area once myself. I now consider anything west of the mouth of the Aucilla & inside the stake line to be part of the Rock Garden. Slow going only.

You are lucky the whole lower unit didn't just "let go". I think I have idled through the same area you are talking about. After the first "bump" I immediately trimmed up that is when I noticed there were larger rocks all around me... I was lucky, but my prop still has the marks to remind me.

I think this is what it looks like on low tide...
