Re: Tires
Sorry LuckySOB, my tire knowledge is limited. I'm probably not using the right terminology. The Kuhmos I'm currently running are radials. The "D" I was referring to is the carrying capacity rating of 2271 lbs instead of 1760 lbs. My boat & trailer weighs in loaded at 3,200 lbs (certified scale) and my experience with a couple of different brands of tires is that the wear pattern is showing that they really can't handle that weight without premature wear. I went to the 2271 lb rated Kuhmos and am seeing much better results. Thanks for the Info.LuckySOB wrote:I would and do run the Towmax Radial ST205/75R14 at $77.00 per tire. Got them in stock and for those that don't know, a radial trailer tire (a good one) will give you about 2-3 times the life of a Bias (D) tire. A Bias tire will almost always look as if something is wrong with your axle and wear funny from day one.

Re: Tires
Big thanks to those who do support a local owned and operated business like mine. There will always be someone cheaper. When I go to South GA Outdoors, I could have looked online and probably found it cheaper somewhere...but when I purchase a pack of Gulp or 20 new Guns, they treat me and the next guy/girl with hometown service. Those are the people that are supporting this site, my family and many other local people around here. Chill-N-Grill if you ever need a deal on tires and are stranded in Thomasville, Come see me cause we don't have nare one of those thousand stores here where I live.
No matter what, it's a good day.

Re: Tires
My top three.. 1) BFG A/T KO $230.00 per tire and include mounting and balancing
2) Nitto Terra Grappler at $214.00 per tire and will mount and balance free
3) Toyo Open Country A/T at $199.00 per tire
Although these are different namebrands and prices, they are all good top notch tires. Jared

Re: Tires
Lucky Sob had the best tire prices for trailer tires and also great service was in and out in 30 mins. Did'nt have time to shop to even shop in downtown Thomasville. He will treat you right. I'm one of the ladies on this forum and I didn't know much about trailer tires. The husband said I did good on that purchase
