Actually this is the one I bought (link below), it says it's a dual beem and the one you're showing says it's a dual frequency which I think the one I bought says 50/200 Htz. What is the difference? My machine looks like it has a data cable port. Looks like I might have to order a data cable to download the updates.

A friend of my is brining a transducer from his boat to try. I just want to find out if it's the transducer or the machine.

Crippledminnow, You'll need a Garmin data card to get the software update into your unit. That means you'll also need a garmin data card reader to hook to your computer.
