What ever happened to throwing a couple of poles in the boat along with a balogna sandwich a coke and honey bun and enjoying the day without laying out another thousand bucks a year for all the gadgets that you need to take a special course to use. And before I get jumped on by all the techies out there I get it about being safe and finding your way around but it seems we use to just make it happen and have fun doing it. And yes, I know how I got this message out there.

While we're on the subject of apps, check out iTitan13. It gives forecast and alerts, but it's really best for monitoring the weather radar. Most of the radar apps refresh every ten to fifteen minutes. This radar refreshes every 5. It also displays your current gps location with a blue dot. I think it's .99 cents.

I have Navionics for Android. Very cool app and well worth the $9.99. I am able to mark a spot when I catch a fish and can even apply a photo the that spot if there is a landmark or some other identifier nearby.
It is just like having a big $$ GPS unit.

Geo Garage has Topo maps of the entire us coast and its only $5.99.
Knot Wars is free and shows all kinds of different knots to tie and try.
