That just STINKS! I agree with some kind of "sales kudos" rating. I've been on fleabay for just over a year and well over 100 all positive reviews. Something like this will go towards building some form of trust to speak.

Don't make it just for site sponsors.
No matter how much money I send Brian send thru Paypal......even when I write flowery and complimentary emails and PM's........ I can't for the life of me be anointed a "site sponsor".
And I may need to sell something from time to time.

Just can't believe it. I am Sorry to hear about the situation. I have a 6 gallon deck tank with an Evinrude fuel adapter you can have for FREE. It's clean and serviceable and has been setting in my shed for a couple of years. If it will help you feel better and get back out on the water, it is yours for the taking, its just a matter of getting it to you as I am in Tally. Lemme know if you want it. It's the least I can do for you.

We have great folks on this forum who offer to help out all the time. Mjsigns is another example of a good person trying to help another out. BTW, Ken and kids went to the fishing meeting and the donations that came in to Bob (lost his boat in the last tournament out by Dog Island) was very heartwarming and impressive. Thanks to all that helped him out. We truly have a great bunch of folks!

Thanks all. especially you mjsigns. Now that's what I'm talking about. The friends here on this site who will bend over backwards to help each other. I have bought a new tank and have the boat operational. Once again, I'm not asking for anything to change in the way we have always done things here at BBF. The system has always been great. Just be aware of your suroundings when buying or selling items here to folks you might not know very well.
Again, it's my fault not BBF's for getting burned. I shouldn't have let my guard down like I did. Your never too old to learn.
I'll also say, I may be an old man, but there is a saying "Not as lean, but just as mean, U.S. Marine" Some folks should remember that!

"I have a 25 hp Mercury with electric start that I pulled from my father in law's board. He no longer can fish and I am parting out the boat. I will include fuel tank and all controls - cables fo shift and speed will need to be replaced. Motor in in good shape and well taken care of. In addition to motor I will include his 65 lb Minn Kota hand control electric motor as well. Asking price is 650 usd. Let's make a deal as I need to work on my flats boat. I can be reached at 706.224.3588 or
damj56@charter.net. Thanks, Allen"
Hmm. Why did his FIL have a 25 Mercury on a "board". And what's with clarifying his price of "$650 usd"?
Sometimes the most obvious red flags are still not headed when we see something we want.
I've been burned before, but only once.

I enjoy reading and following you all on this site. My posts are practically zero. Mostly because I am several hours away and have very little fishingwise to constructively add. I move that I not be banned from selling, or buying, if I one day have something any of you all might be willing to drive 5-6 hours to get. I did purchase a very nice item in a Georgia parking lot from site sponsor/moderator Rocket a couple of years ago. The item was just as advertised. Thanks to Rocket, I was able to fill a birthday gift need with just the right item. I assume my money was good, or Rocket would have been hollering. Dont' kick us all out just cause ....

I bought the boat I currently own from one of our "Legendary" members of this forum who shall go un-named because he would rather maintain his humility than to be recognized for the support above-and-beyond the point-of-sale he gave me after I bought the boat back in 2004. To me , he will always be a gentleman of few words and great stature.

CSMarine...
I have some beachfront property in Oklahoma you might be interested in! Just kidding!
I have found the overwhelming majority of folks on this forum are good as gold and therefore put the guy who took advantage of your trusting nature
in the group labeled DO NOT SHOW YOUR FACE HERE AGAIN.
Sorry you had to be the one taken to the cleaners!
I have purchased two different boat and motor outfits, a large pressure washer, auto tires, boat servicing, and other items from fellow forum members
and advertisers and have never been disappointed.
Losing ones reputation over $700 is ridiculous.....and sad!
