Is this a "tunnel hull"?? I have a SeaArk that has those boxes on the transon to direct the water raised in the tunnel to flow into the prop without escaping off to either side.

that would be a yes and they are called floatation pods.

On a tunnel boat they help keep the transom higher when taking off and running.

Here is another shot from lower down.... this "tunnel" is less pronounced. It didn't have that pre-tunnel that Tuna's rig has. The flotation pods were huge. With that little 70hp on the transom, I don't imagine that boat would be heavy in the rear... :wink:

that motor only weighs about 260 lbs if i remember right its the same one i have on my 18 ft tunnel and it does pretty good on it.

The "Rain Gauge" looks a little "low". Do you think you will have enough before the end of the smoke?
