LET IT SIT OVERNITE AND TRY AGAIN IN THE MORNIN, I SHOULD HAD MENTION TO LEAVE IT SIT OVERNITE, THIS WAY THE GUM THAT IS IN THE CARB DESOLVES AND THE ENGINE SHOULD RUN GREAT IN THE MORNING.

Hey guys,
Long time since last post. Ended up cleaning carb, no luck. Found the issue to be one of the plug wires. Replaced plug wire. Took the gheenoe out to test the motor, ran great for about 20 seconds, then then motor bumped up, rev'd really high and then shut off, could not get the motor to start back up.

Trolling motor issue to be the transmission, gonna run me $240 for new tranny.

Did you open the vent on the gas tank?

yes vent is open, non ethanol with fuel treatment also...

As a rule, when one revs up, then shuts off, it has run out of fuel!

When I was on the water and it would not start I thought it was a fuel issue, so i checked the carb and it had fuel in it. I drained it and filled it back up still no luck.
