Rescuing an unconscious, or injured patient from the water would be a lot easier than dragging them over side of the boat. I imagine it reduces the risk of further injuring the patient, and possibly the operator.

I'm just not sold on the design. The USCG doesn't use them for a reason. I have been in boats my entire life all over the country and I've never seen anything close. Miles, don't get any ideas. Your boat is cool just like it is.
