I fished upside down for years before I realized my folly :-D .Always caught plenty of fish to. One day the science of it all just dawned on me and next thing you know I was fishin right side up. Can't say that it made me catch more or less fish, but I just figured it was the way they were designed to swim through the water.

Now, How do you hook your soft plastic jerk baits,

That's the way I hook them, Ty. They have better action, and a much easier hook set.

Ty, I read an artical in FS about using circle hooks rigged similar to the way you do.....I rig mine with a light wire 4/0 - 5/0 texas rigged. I used to use a 2/0-3/0 and was missing fish, switched to a bigger hook and greatly improved hook ups.

I haven't fished them much lately, gotten kinda hung up on hard stick baits and beetle spins.

I hook'em the same way you had pictured but I use a Kale style hook. It is almost like a circle and every fish I've caught so far has been hooked right in the lip just like the circles. :-D

Never seen one hooked like that - make sense tho - I'll give it a try. Thanks for the demo pic

On the question of what shape float to use on the CT, I like the cigar shape when I am casting into any wind. It is more streamlined and casts better into the wind.

I like the larger float because I'm old and blind. I can't see the small one. :o

I like the cigar for everything except for pinfish and the heavier Tsunami soft plastics, then I use the oval. The Tusnami are heavier than a 1/8oz jig head and grub and the cigar CT ends up to far in the water.

Good! Now I have a reason to have both in my box! :D
