GaryDroze wrote:$170 firm for the combo. That's $100 less than cheapest I've seen on the internet, AND exactly what I paid to buy my wife a new power-flush commode. Happy wife = more fishing time.
Doesn't $95 plus $75 equal $160? Or are you selling the combo for more than the rod and reel separately?

I've dropped a bunch of combos in the water, but lost very few.

 there are some good efforts to retrieve lost combos in there. Loved the mother duck defending her chicks

I will never forget one day, a group of us carried out 2 boats to do some grouper fishing. We stayed close together in the morning, and one of the guys in the other boat had put his reel down to light a smoke when a grouper hit it, and it went overboard.

The motored over to us and said they were going to try another spot, and told us about the reel.

We stayed in the same area, and a little later, they came back to the hole they were on. After a little we heard whooping and hollering on their boat. Thinking they had got a big one, we kept on fishing.

When time came to leave, we motored close to them, and they told what the commotion was.

Not only had they hooked the lost reel, but they also brought in the grouper that was hooked on it!

My luck never runs like that.... :-?
