I don't know what is on that shipwreck, but we went out a few weekends ago. I caught a 25" cobia. Small weight and flat lined a cigar minnow behind the boat. I was off of the wreck just a bit. Whatever was down there took off with the line and eventually broke it. Could not turn them around for anything. 30# braid and steel leaders and still snapped like twigs. Thought my poles were gonna break. I wanna go back with some heavy duty tackle.

Most likely a shark or one of the many resident jewfish

Gonna head out this coming up weekend. First time going out further than the bay. Gonna try to troll to some numbers and bottom fish. Any body been out from fog island with any luck? Tips appreciated.
