Thanks for the comments. BBG, my original post was a play on the classic Teach a Man to Fish saying, as an innocent joke. Someone responded by quoting chapter and verse about BUI, which I certainly don't condone. That person never seemed to grasp the spirit and camaraderie of this forum, which is to share ideas and experiences about coastal and freshwater fishing along the Big Bend in a friendly manner. We have learned to disagree on occasion, but it is done with respect, not a hidden agenda. So I for one am glad the forum owner took this action after the several warnings to that particular poster. Maybe a pint of Tupelo honey will help his outlook in the future.
This is a fun, relaxing sport, one in which I've gratefully made my career. I truly enjoy reading about everyone's ideas, tactics, gear, etc. and look forward to a continued robust discussion. Until then it's time for a cold beverage, followed by a Skitter Walk dancing across the water as the tide starts pumping in tomorrow morning. I'm going coastal and tight lines to all!

Hmmmm... looks like someone wants to jump back on the camel's back.
You're getting the whole spirit (not spirits / pun not intended) of the board backwards 2Salty / SoberAngler.
Thing I love about this board versus a number of other fishing and hunting boards I visit is this one by and large is a FRIENDLY one. Bman wants to keep it that way as do the bulk of personal and business paid sponsors.
Keeping things friendly necessitates calling time out on those seeking to / regularly ticking people off.
Sober as can be as I write this, and that shared like many have had close family members deeply impacted by alcoholism... but never for a second believed SilverKing was doing anything other than sharing a rather innocent joke. Maybe that's because I've met him and know him to be decent.
I shared with you before and will again, before attacking others maybe you should get to know them first.

Thankful for my safe place!
I got to fish some this afternoon....caught some small reds and a trio of very healthy trout! I was comfortable in shorts and sandals! I came in safely and put the mud boat to bed, built a nice fire and started some JJ Grey and Mofro on the KICKR! Enjoyed some grilled brats and have had some adult beverages. Life is good!
So go to a neutral corner and start a safe place for yourself if needed!
And should someone's safe space include some cold beers then so be it!
Peace my friends!
PS: This is being written from coastal Taylor County Florida where you better damn well have a safe place! We got no-seeums with teeth like Trex, rednecks and no necks, obviously some of America's most wanted, and an ever diminishing number of Democraps. We fly American and Confederate flags and most everybody is armed. Safe places are revered and respected creating a rather low crime rate. Our heritage has evolved from being a drinking community with a fishing problem!
