For someone who doesn't trust the government, you sure do put a lot of stock into the most rudimentary official forecasts out there. And let me quote your next response in advance: Pfffftttt!

The forecast I use are from this site...[url][http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.ph ... bpFw5t/url]

Expand the map on this page.
Then double click your cursor in the location for your forecast.
Most inshore fishermen will fish 1 mile or less from shore.
I choose approximately 1/2 mile offshore for the forecast.
The forecast I posted here was taken in front of Steinhatchee river about 1/2 mile out.

The other post above about big wind and big waves is for OFFSHORE.

You're not likely to have 6 foot waves inshore with a NE wind.

Steinhatchee tournament day should be fine.
The storm should still be just off the coast of CUBA.

They were showing tropical storm winds up in the big bend area on Saturday. Not a risk I'm willing to take.

The September tournament has been postponed until Saturday October 7th, I have just received word from a Steinhatchee city official that they will be closing the ramps on Saturday Morning to the public and will only be for emergency use.

A fellow me and Chuck know from down that way told us two days ago that we would be in the way if we were using the ramps because of the locals getting their equipment out of there I guess he was right . Well at least now maybe we'll have more than 4 boats in it

From my understanding, this is what Chris would like to do. Which is move Steinhatchee (redfish) tourney back to October and then push the St. Marks tourney back to Nov 4. He was going to have Hammaknockers bring food and wants to do it at Capt. Mike's place. I think this makes the most sense as well rather than just moving the Stein back to Nov.
