So how is charging for boat ramp use "unrelated income" for a boat club?

I could send you some links to read up on the taxation and operation of a not for profit organization....but I think we should just go fishing instead. :)

Nope, old tax law rule of substance over form. If you must "donate" to use, then it ain't a donation for tax purposes.

Exactamundo. Were I to post the regulations, someone would read them, then oversleep and miss fishing.

All I am going to say is that I hold an LLM in Tax from UF law school and I agree with this decision. I've already nodded off on said regs! :smt005
