I saw peak wave heights of 18' on the buoy south of Pensacola that was providing readings.
However, the average seemed to be more 8' to 10'.
Either way, not a wise choice to head into those seas in a relatively small and light 49' boat. A Krogen/ Grand Banks/ Fleming- maybe.

I keep a big boat in a wet slip at shields and we get quite a few people doing the loop. Alot of them get stuck there for awhile because it's one of the only legs of the loop where you have to make the crossing in open water from Tarpon springs to Carrabelle.
Alot of people make it from Carrabelle, duck into st marks and wait in what i'd call medium seas.. In the winter I've seen people come in with 50' trawlers making the run from Tampa with every piece of furniture overturned and green faces.
Trying to make that crossing with that storm out there? I hesitate to post anything negative given the circumstances but I just can't wrap my head around it.
