Some folks will do a first post to introduce themselves. Some do it with a solid fishing report. A lot do it to sell something. And a few do it with a snarky first post. It certainly wasn’t the worst first post, but I bet you could have done better

I don't know you and have rarely, if ever, interacted with you on this forum. But I have read and enjoyed many of your posts. I like your outlook on life and the outdoors. How would you have any idea? Even a noob like me has read enough posts from CSMarine to know that he lives to fish the Big Bend and added content specific to fishing on a regular basis. You may add similar content at some point but so far....crickets.

And Redbeard, I like your posts, can tell you're a diehard and passionate fisherman. One beauty of this board, similar to Fly Fishing in Maine, which I've been a member of since 1997, it the posters don't have to look at stupid meme posts on every page. People post fishing content, not hand clapping gifs etc. In the 3 weeks since you joined you've already added more content than I have but skip the memes/gifs my man.

I do appreciate back handed compliments in the morning.

Great, happy day before 1 month anniversary of your membership. Your gifs and memes really add a lot to the site. Oh, I meant the info you provide on boats and fishing adds a lot to the site and I enjoy reading it. The other is childish tripe.
