One more suggestion that we can all benefit from is the use of a microfiber cloth/towel to keep your sunglasses clean. I have worn glasses & sunglasses for 30+ years and it has been a constant battle to keep the lenses clean. I found that the use of a microfiber towel will clean them up like new without smearing or scratching the lenses. You don't even have to use water or a lense cleaner. These microfiber cloths/towels are available at the Dollar General in the automotive section. Best dollar I've spent in many many years.
Time is the most precious commodity we have in life, stay focused.
Being stuck with the same problem as MJ,having to wear prescription glasses, I found out the Oceanwaves Bandannas will fit over a small framed pair of prescription glasses. I bought my bandannas a year ago, and love them. They don't blow off, and block nearly all the side light and reflection.
Cheap glasses are just that. Some block alot of light (or so it seems)CHeap sunglasses just lower the light level while letting harmful light rays right on in doing deep cornia & lens damage over time. Cheap lenses also wipe off the polorized layer quite easily.
Love my Costa del Mar Fathoms! Blue tint, glass lens.....can't scratch them with a car key!
And, their customer service is GREAT!! If you screw them up, send it to them.....if they can't fix, they'll send you a new pair for less than $30 forever.
paid $130 for mine at Dicks. The cheap ones always scratch or break.....that includes oakley (not cheap in price...just quality)!
Anyone tried Flying Fisherman brand? We have about 6 pair of Elite 7558's (amber and smoke glass). At about 20 bucks a pair, they are pretty good for the price . I've been using them for trout fishing for years and have and old pair in my bag that must be between 10 and 15 years old. The Elite's are not very stylish, looking like plastic framed flying glasses, but I see from the FF site, they have more up to date styles for the 'I want to look cool' folks.
I'm not really pusing them or anything- 'Just thought y'all might be interested in what I think are good glasses for a reasonable price.
