What if they are not hungry? Or its real hot, and they are trying to conserve their energy and swimming from 9 feet deep to the surface is too much work. Many fish might bite a bait a foot from their face when they might not want to venture out and inspect a commotion at the surface.tallarob wrote:For what is is worth, I just watched the Big Bend Angler Fishing Show with Captain Randle Leger and it was all about the Cajun Thunder.
He says all he uses is a 12" leader irregardless of water depth. He says that it they are hungry the ruckus the Cajun Thunder makes will bring them to the surface. He was sure catching a lot of trout.
Just goes to show there is more than one way!
