Knot Tester... you probably have an acceptable amount of chain but if it's not long enough it can cause the anchor to NOT dig in properly. The amount of chain is very important. Try add'n a couple more feet of chain (or more) and see if that helps the dig'n in situation. If the chain is too light that could also be an issue.

Everyone's GPS gives you a heading. The accuracy reading however does not indicate which direction you should travel to get to your spot. If the accuracy is 50' off....you could be 50' away in any direction... or for that matter you could be only 5' away. Your GPS just does not know!

Waas is accurate to 15' and by using it on land I'm confident it is more accurate than 50'. Another indicator is when you tighten the anchor rope and you see the same fish show when you marked the number.

I don't agree with prop wash. If the tide and wind are lined up you could be more than 50' off. Paper plates would work better.

Anchor scope also depends on your anchor weight, type, amount of chain, etc. I use a 7# danforth style and it takes 3:1 in anything bigger than 2'
