No, I think the weather and the slow bite had the Hill on everyone's mind. Glad to meet you and yours. Thanks for the help at the ramp.

Hey catchin1... forgot to mention that when I got home and started cleaning up the boat and equipment.... I found that your seabass had ended up in my cooler.

On behalf of my cat (Maggie) She says "Thanks".

I'm always greeted by her, first thing, when I pull into the back yard with the boat. If I don't at least save a pinfish to clean for her she gets very grumpy

Tell Maggie she's welcome.

The biggest problem Cheap Reel, err, I mean Sir Reel has is buying these cheap knockoff Igloo coolers. Something has to be defective about them. In this case they shorted him a inch or two. Another fact, his 60 quart cooler only holds 48 quarts.
The second problem he had was keeping these elementary fish. They weren't even big enough to be called juvenile.
You would think after placing in the money twice he would splurge a little.

I sure am glad this is a friendly group. I would hate to be around if it was not.
All in fun Sir Reel. You seem to take it so well. It makes you an easy target. I hope I will be able to fish the Sept tournament. I can't wait until the weigh-in

The country music song goes "...promise me son not to do the things I've done.. walk away from trouble if and when yu can..."
Y'all remember how that song ends.
I'm too thinkin that Sir Reel has a limit (even though we didn't get one on Saturday due to the shinanigans).
It was mighty fun anyway and the eating was supurb (great) TinCan - Good show! (well except for the fancy fishing shirts not paying off this time for you and Eerman). I might have to get one em to join the GQ crowd - where do you get them bigger ones Steve?
And Sir Reel... it's RodBo
w not RodBod! I was the one in the boat attracting the static (which just happen to be a precursor to the treatment we got at Jerry's).
All in all this made a memorable 1st tourney for me. Thanks to all!

Chatnin1, it was good to meet you and your better half. Do join us again.
SR, some days it just don't pay to get outa bed. And, I thank you again for not entering the big fish pot.
We had a lot of laughs at SR's expense. He took it well, and will continue to .
Blindhog, there are a few of us in this bunch that pay dearly for our screwups. SR happens to be among that few. He's used to it. However, he can also dish it out.
Now, on a serious note. It might pay for all who fish tournaments to invest in one of these.

They're very accurate, and I've never had THE MAN question it. The bass club I fish with requires you have one in the boat every tournament.
SR, if you can't afford one, I'll buy ya one.

There's no need to leave Catchin1 out of this. He told me at the weighin that Catchin2 caught all the fish.
I can believe it too. We saw them once and she made 5 cast to his 1. That's what it takes to catch fish. Keep fishing Catchin2,if you need a partner who can help you on tournament day let us know.

You are right jumptrout51, she only allows me a 5:1 ratio and thats with no bait. She's very competative. At one point she made me lay down in the back of the boat and take short nap.

I appreciate the suggestion TC. I may have to go that route but $16.95 plus ship'n is still enough gas money to fish the next tournament. I've been considering gather'n up 4 or 5 black magic markers. I'm gonna borrow a measur'n stick from the Torment Director

and mark off the gunnels, bow, and transom in 15 1/2 inch increments

Then I'm gonna lay out a grid in the bottom of the boat with 15 1/2 in squares.

Afterwards, anyone catching a trout will have the criteria right in front of them or at their feet. Any fish caught in my boat can easily be evaluated as to whether or not it meets or exceeds the desired length. This will insure that any trout, will at a minimum result in a 15 inch measurement when the Torment Director measure's it.
PS
it's RodBow not RodBod!
Sorry David...correction has been made.
