I read that book a couple of years back. A buddy of mine dove arround the "indian area" and found some pottery and tools. He had to do it all by feel because the water was so stained. When I pointed out to him that I had seen some nice size gators around that area, he decided not to dive it anymore
That ramp you are talking about is the one we used to call "Drug Camp Ramp" back in the day. That bunch didn't fool anybody, but I sure kept my eyes open when I was there. Never had anything stolen out of my vehicle...I guess they had bigger crimes to fry
