Would putting both in fish in the box for a two man team also be cheating? Just asking? Are these tournaments really 1 fish/person/day...no culling?

Culling a fish doesnt mean they left the dang fish in the ice chest to die and then throw it back in. They had a live well and exchanged the smaller fish for a big fish. Yall guys need to take a chill pill and Mook you got 3 diffrent redfish in pictures on this post. So what is better putting a redfish in a perfectly good live well for 2 hours or holding the fish out of the water for 3 minutes and taking pictures kissing it.And who ever on this site says they have never put a fish in the livewell and "culled" the fish for a bigger one is a liar. Just my two cents.

You know showboat I never read the full F.S. unitl last night. I always thought of it in terms strictly of bag limits like 1 in my bag, one in my partner's bag. But as Baygator pointed out with the harvest definition, you probably have a point. The culling permit section of 68B-22 does go out of its way to say that a permited team can have 2 fish on the boat per 2-man team. I'm not sure if the intent there is just to say that they are waiving the bag limit but you can only have 2 at a time, or if they are going out of their way to say that in the case of a permit, it doesn't matter who catches what, or both...interesting question...one we'd need to refer to FWC. It will all depend on the point at which they legally consider the fish harvested to posession. In other words, if I hook up a fish and you net it and throw it in the box and eat it for dinner, did I harvest it or did you? The statute does say that if you return one to the water immediately, you have not harvested it, but it does not specifically say the converse. Common sense says probably I harvested it, but it's not 100% clear. I'll ask.
Sorry to anyone who I upset with my comments about culling. My intent wasn't to incense, or insult anyone, or call anyone a cheater, or anything of a malicious nature. I just wanted to raise discussion such as this because I think a lot of people, probaly the majority, do these things without knowing any better. Looks like I might even be guilty myself

from time to time.
