My 6 inch rain gauge is full. Wife made some smart arse comment about first time in a while she has seen over 6 inches...
It is gonna get wetter out there yall. Be careful.
At least my power came back on around 3 this morning....

Wind has died down but the rain has not, power was only out for about an hour and a half last nite. While I don't have a rain gauge looking at the pond I'd still guess we are under 3" total the pond is up some but we are not even close to full pool much less running over the spilll way. We are getting a good soaking but that is about all. I was out for a while last night picking up some Chicken Wings for dinner and there were some trees and signs down, it looked like 75 south bound was closed. I did sit in front of Wal Mart for a while and giggle when the folks came out and opened thier umbrellas and the were getting turned inside out pretty quick one lady knew to point the round part towards the wind and made it to her car with it still in tact.

power has been out here since about 9:30 last night. seems we are camping now

kids are had fun watching the old man make a breakfast of eggs and bacon on the grill. Had to break out the old perk coffee kettle for the grill too. I think the fun will wear off by the afternoon.

Whew! Lost DSL for about 5 hours. We almost had to bug out.
Seems to be fine now.
I lost a big ornamental shrub and a big Pecan tree early this morning. Still on generator power and expect to be for at least and 24 hours.
We've got 4.9" of rain as of 8:00 a.m. probably had another 2" since then.
Still got beer and gas and plenty of food.

Our yard is completely saturated. I sink about a half inch walking through it. The back 40(ft) is underwater and the neighbors back 100 is underwater. We had a few small limbs down, but this next rain band scares me a little.
The house at the end of the road has a pine tree through the roof and my buddy from work has a 100 year old oak tree through the middle of his living room.
