He may pull us out of our economic crises, make major advances with the middle east, or even payoff the national deficit some how. I am an American 100% I bleed red, white, and blue. I know I will not support every decision made by Obama, maybe not even half, but he is our president. The one thing that really bothers me is his stance on abortion, and not just abortion he goes as far as partial birth abortion and that is sick in my mind. Anyone who could take a childs life puts their compassion and morality in question. Just my 2 cents.

If he was talking to you face to face he would agree with your point of view, then change his stance again when talking to a person with a different opinion. That is what scares me!

I saw an email today that said..."R.I.P. United States of America July 4th 1776-January 20th 2009" It made me really sad to think about it. I know that is extreme but we are in unfamiliar waters now.

I will stand with my country until I die and the principles for which it was founded. We have to stand strong guys, too many people died for your freedom to give up now. May God bless America and be with us now more than ever.

I am as staunch of a conservative as there is, but I still hope Obama will be successful. Who would want to see our country suffer just so the President from another party would be a failure. I will tell you who, the hard core left along with their media puppets. That is exactly what they wished and worked for with George W. Bush. I didn't like the fact that he snubbed the Medal of Honor Ball, the first president to do so. He made sure to show up where the celebrities were in attendance.

I agree completely. The President should be treated with respect at all times regardless of party affiliation. However, I judge his success by the policies he inacts or defends, not who he is as an individual. For that, I hope his policies fail that I disagree with or go against the Constitution, and if that makes him a failure, so be it. That's the whole problem with Obama. He was elected as a status symbol of who he was portrayed to be and what the other candidate was not. He wasn't even elected on his past accomplishments or proven record as a leader. Jesse Jackson could have run on Obama's platform to a tee and would have never stood a chance at winning, just like in '84. He didn't have the charm. Too many Americans wanted what they thought was a "cool" or "hip" President that was down with the times. That was the change they wanted. If we could get someone like us, maybe he'll inact policies for us because he is on our level and understands where we are at. Could you have seen McCain, Bush, Kerry or any other old white man at the Neighborhood Ball I hope Obama is a success as our President by being able to stand up to the oath he took (twice ) to defend the Constitution and to defend the homeland against threats both foreign and domestic. If he can accomplish this, we'll be fine and can live again as Americans to debate our beliefs for another day

Well said ,just ask the younger folks who attend some of these colleges who wanted to vote for the other ticket they will tell you most of the students when asked the reasons for a vote for obama was that he was different ,not the average canadate that we see every 4 years.It's almost like .....here comes the obama ticket i'm going with him hey .....everybody's doing it ,it's the cool thing to do.I will admit I did not like alot about mcCain I was more impressed with Sara Pale but I sure didn't like obama and I was not going to check my morales at the door.

I can't believe anyone that is a citizen of this country would want their President to fail regardless of party affiliation. Like it or not he is OUR president and WE need to support him 100%. The state of our country can't get much worse financially or morally so it has to get better. My hat is off to him and I hope he excels for our countries sake.

You apparently didn't hear what all the dems where saying for the last year or more then it has been sickening to listen to Americans wish that our government would fail, just to win an election
