Just a little better.
Saturday
Southeast wind 10 to 15 knots. Seas 2 to 3 feet. Protected waters a light to moderate chop. Isolated showers and thunderstorms.

Maybe not for offshore, but not bad for river fishing.

Rains in the afternoon. Parade of lights is at dark. Would just need to come in a little early to avoid that crowd.

I'd try to catch Trout, but would settle for catching a little peace of mind. Which I always catch if I'm on the water.

I'm 50% on it right now. 2-3 with thunderstorms likely may be pushing it. I'm thinking I'd rather do Mashses if we go at all, just because its a shorter run to grouper ( and a shorter run back in), and if its rough we have the river to fish for trout and reds and whatever.
I still would like to make the call later in the day. We could do a short morning trip, then meet up for lunch somewhere and drink a beer and eat an oyster.

Great oysters and beer at Poseys. That wind can be hell in the river at Mashses.

We'll be in a Navy Gray 18' CC with CS Marine on the side. Easy to spot, look for Chalk in them dang Frogg Toggs. Going way up the river early, East river and lighthouse area in the afternoon.

I'll have my radio on 16.
Chalk, ever heard the phrase "Once a Marine, Always a Marine?"

Besides, don't the CG here call us "Civilian Marines."

I think Tin Can talked me into going to St. Marks. I'll be there in the Key West. "Big T" on 16. What time do we want to meet at the Fort?
