What the hell has this got to do with the topic?

I have a lot of sympathy for the old time mullet netters, but the problem was and is that they act like hogs and hogs get slaughtered.

Early on, JT ask about "when was this"? Did that information ever show up? I looked around the FWC site in their NEWS category but never found anything.

I have drifted past crab traps and been able to see that were or were not crabs inside. Other than that I do not touch them. That would be stealing form another fisherman, just like those guys who were fishing illegally. They are, and I suspect have been for a long time, stealing from us all.

Yes it is true! They are outlaws and should be in jail!

Don't give me some BS line about it's been a way of life in this area for years. That guy is only 31 years old. He was only 14 when the net ban went into effect. He's had has entire adult life to figure out an honest way to make a living, just like all the rest of us.

And if it isn't clear from my previous post, I hope they throw the book at them. These guys do time and never be allowed to fish again. If I were to get busted for a serious wildlife violation, they'd permanent revoke my hunting/fishing license. After 167 violations, they need to do the same here. But it's Franklin County, home of the net ban outlaws, so I won't hold my breath.

Bob, Damon and Daniel Nichols of Sopchoppy were the individuals cited in the 1/14/11 arrest, per the citations. They are scheduled for a mandatory court appearance in Franklin County next month.
