Just putting my 2 cents worth in the mix and do not mean to offend any one, but I think the 02 Merc might be the holdup on getting the boat sold. Boats and trailers are nice, but the motor makes the rig and drives the price. Still I wish you luck on the sale.

Not offended at all, I had the motor on my last boat and didn't wanna spend the extra crazy money on the brand new motor when I got the boat and trailer made this one runs fine so I so no reason not to use it if I had it. But yeah I no I need to wait till spring the need for other things just out weighs the need for this boat right now so trying to unload it as quick as I can. Thanks for the advice/input though

Another thought, more photos in your CL ad. I'd also take a LOT of photos and put them up on photobucket or flickr - get a free account.
Put a link to the photos in the ad. You can NOT have enough photos. I'd agree on your engine being a factor that may hinder the sale since it's an 11 year old engine.
No matter how great it runs and how well YOU know the engine, the prospective buyer doesn't. That's a bit harder to overcome but it is what it is.

The Craiglist link doesn't work anymore for me and there are no pictures showing up. You might want to add some more pictures.
