Hmmmm... enough free time on your hands to come up with the infamous "singed kitty / tuna juice cocktail" ...good God, man, that's hard to even type :smt078... but not enough to bother calling Grainger. Glad to see you've got your priorities in the right order! ;-)

You really should give the singed kitty a try. I have bought things from Grainger before and they have always been good about having it within days and calling to let me know it is in and ready for pickup. I don't think they actually had the poles in stock and never received them locally. When it gets warmer and I feel more motivation, and I've recovered from the singed kitty, I'll get back on it.

Not a snowballs chance in Hades, Lonesouth! Closest I've ever / will ever come to that was having a stupid gold-fish swallowing contest in college against my roommate at a rather TOO festive party. Didn't taste them chasing them down with fiery liquids, but sure in the heck tasted them each time I burped the next day.  :smt005

I'm getting close to ordering some poles to build a couple of pole anchors. If anyone is interested and wants to save some cash since they can ship multiple units for the same price as 1, PM me. I'll be ordering within a week or so. I'm going with 2 anchor pins.

I might be interested in two. Where do you live? Shipping might be cheaper than gas unless I have a need to be heading to FL for other reasons. Let me know the details on what/where/when you are ordering.

Rhettley, I'm in Midway which is just outside of Tally. I think the best way to do it would be for those interested to PM me their contact name and number. Once I know the total number we'll order, I can provide a total and then have those interested send me a Postal Money Order. Once the parts come in, you could swing by and pick them up.
Probably save up to say $15 or so depending on how many order. So far, two for me and another member has got up with me wanting one so that's 3.

That's where I'm ordering from. They've updated it now to offer the stainless tip and T-handle. Hadn't looked at it in quite a while.

IF you are interested: Please PM me with your name and contact information AND EXACTLY what you want to order. T-handle, stainless tip etc. Next Tuesday or Wednesday I will call and provide you with a total. From there, just send me a US Postal Service Money Order - No checks or paypal to keep this easy. Once I have received all payments, I will place the order. According to their site, 17 poles can fit into on large shipping tube for the same shipping price. As of now, there are a total of 5 poles that will be ordered. T-handles and the tips may ship separately, I'm not certain and will determine that when I call for ordering pricing based on the responses. We'll divide the shipping up equally and save a few bucks when all is said and done.

It's about a 100 mile trip which will cost me about $19 for 5 gallons of gas. I can have it shipped to me for $23 plus the $2 packaging fee. Let me see if the wife is planning to go to Tally anytime soon. My next trip probably won't be until BPS opens or I actually go through on the way to the coast, which I REALLY need to do anyway. I did notice if you can order 10 of the same price type like the black or white 3/4" you get a 10% quantity discount.
I'm thinking a used golf flagstick would work if I can find a local course that has some old ones on hand.

For those that contacted me by PM - Check your PM's. I have received the totals for your orders and sent the applicable information to you via PM inclusive of payment instructions. Upon receipt of everyone's payment, I will order the components. Another item off the checklist for the Spring!

Case closed.
