I spoke with a FWC officer today and asked him what the "dill" was....He said that the FWC was mandated to patrol federal waters and would enforce the rules in federal waters....I went to the FWC and found this paper http://myfwc.com/marine/grouper/RedGrouperIssues.pdf, page two states more or less what the officer told me....So, know where your at and know the rules...

I really stopped and asked him what the skinny was on the 6 Mako's that looked like they were going up for auction...He said they go to Tallahassee somewhere to be sold....So where does the state have auctions in Tallahassee...

I think they can be seen at the State facility on Capital Circle, near the airport.

I suppose you do need to buy a boat that Ms. Chalk and Little Chalk aren't afraid to ride in.

Well its not gonna take long for charters to start closing business, cause I darn sure would not pay $600 or so for 4 people to fish and get to keep 3....WOW I am all over that. Then wait till Snapper is closed and they can not keep anything of those. Who is going to pay a charter then..

Well the meetings in Ft. Myres are today & tormorrow, so we will see how that goes. Senator Nelson blasted Roy Crabtree with a huge letter on the issue basically stating it was going to hammer Florida and he wanted to work it out different. I think Florida has some big wheels pushing very hard to change this and be patient, i feel some good coming !

By a 4 to 3 vote in the reef fish committee the committee is sending a motion to the full council to recommend that the NMFS modify the interim rule so that the nov dec closure will be for red grouper only. This still has to pass the full council on thurs.
