You are welcome to post your teams here. However, at least one team member must attend the Captains meeting.
Sorry SR,but Butch and I are fishing together.

If we don't have ten teams are you gonna give each team two boxes? If not can we duplicate the box for the other individual?

Seems the registration form states that each registration receives a tackle box, so it's an individual competition and there's only gonna be one tackle box? If it's only one box per boat, it should be a team event, that's my take on it....What say you?

I've got a Hunter Ed class to instruct the same evening as the Captain's meeting so I'm not going to be able to save my questions until then. Assuming that I participate, I don't own a digital camera. I do have a SLR.
1. Will I need to have a disposable camera?
2. Are the disposable camera's going to be turned in??
3. Could I turn in the film roll from my SLR?
4. Who will be responsible for developing film?
5. If someone's digital fails to capture a picture, (has happened recently at weigh-in's) what will be the position of the Tournament officials?
6. Can I have someone (rider) with me who is not in the tournament to handle the boat, net, take pictures, etc?
Thanks.
SR would still like to know the answers to the camera and non-participating partner/rider questions. He might be able to get to the captains meeting by 7:30-7:45 but that would be pushing it. Thanks.

Just talked to Scibelli; here's the deal.
The first 21 paid applicants will get a tackle box.
A non paying guest can fish/ride on your boat.
Only fish caught by a paid participant count.
All fish must be caught with tackle provided.
THE HONOR SYSTEM AND FUN IS WHAT THIS IS ABOUT.
NFGFC club member points will be awarded as follows; 10 points per species per club member.Points will be awarded individually(not per team)
Any fish landed, photograghed and released qualify for points.Trout,red,blue,spanish,cobia,catfish,pinfish,grunt,rockbass,etc.etc.etc. Only one fish per species is awarded points.
With more than a dozen species you could qualify for 120 or more points.
Sharks too large to be measured can be photographed and released at boatside.

To whoever decided the rules for the NFGFC / CCA tournament. I would like to say the if you were going to do points this way it should have been decided at the first of the year and not a week before the tournament, from what I read it was a trout and red Tournament not a trout and trash tourney. This does not even sound right, you could fish all the tournaments( Trout Tournaments) up until now for the angler of the year points and loose the lead because someone caught a hard head cat and a lady fish that don't make since. Just wanted to put my two cents worth in and say I don't like and don't think it should be done this way but whats done is done and I'm still fishing.

I agree. This was a last minute change, and not what we discussed at any of the meetings or emails about this tournament. IMHO this is not the right way to do it. The correct way is to base the points on the places determined by the orignal rules (Total length of Biggest trout and redfish).

Example:

NFGFC member places second behind a non-club member in the CCA tournament. But he is still the highest placing club member so he should get 50 points and so on down the line.

I'm like Jeff, I'll fish, but this change is way too late in the game.
