Lets see, Mothers Day, Something real nice could equal some points and I figure I will send her flowers to work on the 17th. and get a real nice card for her on the 18th. I think this plan should work. Who knows she might even pack my clothes and my cooler for me while she is hooking up the boat.

Ty, you're going about it all wrong. If you do all that stuff in your early years of marraige, your wife will expect it for the rest of her life. However, there are some special "LANDMARK" anniversaries along the way. 5years falls into that category. I don't remember my 5th anniversary, but I do remember my 25th. I took my wife to get the oil changed in her car, then took her to McDonalds. I know that may have been over doing it, but she's worth it.

I agree with you TC,I think Ty is over doing it way too soon. A note on her pillow the night of the 18th oughta' do it.
SEE YOU SUNDAY WITH A NICE FRESH FISH DINNER.
LOVE YOU HONEY.

JT, the note on the pillow might be a good idea. All I have is a sign that says "GONE FISHIN", sitting in the kitchen window. If I wake up early and leave without telling my wife, I put the sign by the coffee pot.

TC, does that have to be a specially purchased sign or just any old sign will do? I want to make sure I do this right.

I printed mine myself. Used a large font in Word. I don't think it matters, tho. Any sign will do.

Don't think it was much of an express anyway
As far as all the marital advice being handed out... I started out many years ago in the union carpentry apprenticeship program out of high school. The journey man that I was assigned to was full of rather sage advice on a lot of things. I remember one of his expressions was ..... "when it comes to women... promise em half of what you can give em... give em half of what you promised..... and they'll learn ta never be disappointed in ya"

Most everything is booked. Call Eerman and beg for floor space.
