You wish to promote more visitors to our area to help the fishing guides. In our area a good fishing guide doesn't need more visitors. A good fishing guide establishes a good cliental so the guide will be booked year after year and sometimes booked for two to three years ahead. Also if we had more visitors it would take away from what makes our area special and unique. also If eveybody were to share all the good places to fish then there would not be a need for a fishing guide.
You wish for everyone to share productive fishing spots so all can have success. In my opinion, over time electronic devices will removed more fish from the sea then commercial fishermen ever did. Due to the use of the GPS, Bottom Machines, etc. Even with the use of the electric trolling motor. Now you wish to use this electronic device (the computer) to remove even more fish from the sea. Remember the sea is a giant bank, if you withdraw to much today then theres less for tomorrow.
Some of my favorite days fishing came on days when I found a new place holding fish.
If I have misunderstood any of your wishes then I apologize.
Hope you have very nice day and good luck with your fishing.
If we were all crazy, Wouldn't that make us all normal.
It has taken me 50 years to eliminate unproductive fishing spots. There are nearly 1000 locations in my GPS that produce fish. Of the 1000, I fish about 50 on a regular basis. That works out to finding one really good spot a year.
My advice is keep fishing and find you one a year. Of the 50 I prefer to fish I found them on my own and plan to keep them. Too much time,gas,bait,beer,ice,fun finding my own.
The other 950 are known by everyone who fishes our area.
I am keeping my 5% to myself.
I'll be happy to post the other 950 if you really want 'em.
thank you...i have learned a valuable lesson.no im not nuts or otherwise.i should not have given those spots,they were quality,but cant take em back,ill probably read more and stop posting...{everytime i try to share you friggen destroy me,i meant you no harm,it wont be repeated,be assured}
what guide wouldnt love to have a chance at a star,they will not come,i know why,you do too...i will not repeat my ignorance,i degress.most of youlive way north,does anybody live near crystal river,cedar key man sometimes i cant relate,so sorry about this whole thread if i only knew of the arse chewing,and my wife snickering over my beating.........im not a good loser.........thanks for all the brotherly love,and good luck to all wow!!
Dude, don't take it to heart. Noone was beating on you for anything else other than your typing style. Us country boys don't understand incomplete sentances and rushed typing. I, along with many, got a good chuckle trying to drcipher what you were saying. Most of us have our spots and don't care about anyone elses unless we're fishing "WITH" them. Go wet a hook and tell us how you did, what you used, general local if you want, tide, temp, depth. Do'nt want your numbers and you cant have mine
You’ve reached middle age when all you exercise is caution.
Interesting thread.. I got some great numbers...from a list over the urinal at one of Carrabelle's finest watering holes. I've had pretty good luck with most of them, but haven't been able to find the one labeled GPOA.. For those interested in checking them out, here's a hint... Th joint is on Marine St.
