Chalk,
Patience, my (as Cran would say) lad!
Besides, the fish will be there when I get there,
because most of you grown men are wasting
your time trying to catch trout on FB and the
others can't catch Richard on DOA's.
They'll just be bigger.
There's a 32 incher getting bigger by the minute,
around . . ., er, better not say or y'all will be out
there by the thousands carrying on like,
"Dorf Goes Fishing!" and scaring her away!

Chalk,
So that's a definite,
Doah!?
I warned you about that
spyware!
FCC (and Tom) are on their way
right now to have you arrested
for obscene display on the web!
You really got to learn how
to lose!
And get a truck that burns
gas or diesel so your boat
won't look so brown!

Thanks TC, but I don,t have any need for Fishbites.
It goes back to what you were saying about confidence.
I seem to be able to catch pinfish on small pieces of squid, or shrimp
and I would never tip a lure with anything.

If none of the above was true, the attitude of their UK Distributor have convinced me (and many others), never to buy their products anyway. :P

Good enough, Cran. Do you need any lime juice?
What was I supposed to do today?

TC, we are down to our last crate, of Nellie & Joe,s elixir to the taste buds.

This should last us until next Spring, when I hope to arrange a bulk shipment by tanker to the UK.

We had friends over for dinner last Saturday evening and they requested that Cherryl make the "authentic" Key Lime Pie for dessert.
Nobody has ever tasted anything like it.

tc,
Send him the yaller lime juice!
He uses the green lime juice to
polish his SHIMANO's and to
neutralize the wormwood
poison in his Elderflower cordial
drinks. It never gets into a pie!
You know the kind I'm talking
about -- horse yaller juice!
Let him make his pies with
horse yaller juice, fortified with
Robertsons Orange Marmalade,
called Golden Shred, or better, yet,
Robertsons Lime Curd which them Limeys
sell to us Yanks for making Key Lime Pie!
Like we don't have Key Limes for that!

Lets keep on topic fellas. This post was about fishbites and has seriously derailed. Take it to Off topic for the stuff not related to fishbites.

wevans, the product in the UK is called FishStrips, but it is the same as FishBites.

I am not criticising the product, I have never used it and am unlikely to.
I was interested in the comments of fishermen, who have been using it for some time.
Clearly, the opinions are mixed, which is no suprise.

Didn't mean ta imply that at all Cran  I simply thought that after all the work and time that Dr. Carr and Mr. Mike have invested in this product, that it would be a shame ta have a distributer kill their bussiness overseas :hammer:

Cranfield, as I recall the only person (that actually used them) who reported less than satisfactory results was using them in freshwater. I have not used any of the freshwater products so I would not comment on them.

That is a pretty strong consensus that they do work, I can't think of any other fishing products that we could discuss where we would have such agreement.

You also seem to imply that the only reason you are not criticising them is out of your regard for Tom.

Ken, I assumed CS Marine was referring to "trout", as the sea variety.
Only three out of the seven who responded, believed in them totally.
You commented that they were not a "panacea".
Two others were not that committed.

I have also seen other comments on the FS Forum, that seem to be divided in much the same way.

I really am not trying to grind an axe here.
My original question was asked because I was genuinely interested in the answer.

Its probable that they are the best thing since sliced bread.
I hope people buy loads and enjoy them in good health and happiness.

No bait (natural or artificial) can be the best in every situation for every type fish. Hence, my comment that fishbites were not a panacea. How many lures do you have in your bag?

I try to take a selection of the appropriate baits, natural or artificial, for the specie(s), I am fishing for.

If you are suggesting that a packet of FishBites should be included in that selection, then I will pass.

But, I am not trying to convince you, or anyone else, that you should follow my example.

As I posted elsewhere, words to the effect that, "anything that gives you confidence, can,t be bad".
