Brian told me that there will be three calcutta pots.

$25-Trout
$25- Red
$50- Tournament (the combined weight) So basically for an extra $100 you are completely covered.

Will the tournament be postponed if there is a small craft advisory on Saturday?
Let's hope not. The rivers are safe in any conditions and if you do make it to flat you could just get out and stand if things get to rough.
Aucilla, Econfina and the Fenholloway will be dry with the early morning negative tide and the 15 mph North wind on Friday night that keeps the water out. You probably won't be able to get out of Lanark either. Carrabelle and SGI are unfishable in that strong of a North wind. The St. Marks channel in front of the lighthouse will be nasty on Saturday with that big North wind once the tide starts trying to come in.

Barring any changes in the weather forecasts, I think it should be rescheduled; let's hope the TD understands that we're fishing in flats boats and not on the Cornelia Marie.

Looking better boys. They are now calling for the winds to decrease to 10 to 15 in the late morning. The fish do not mind that it is choppy.

THe weather looks like it will be better. We have fished plenty of tournaments on a negative tide where certain ramps are not accessable. It is part of fishing, you work with what you are given. IF the tournament were to be rescheduled would there be refunds to those who had prior engagements on that given date?

Sure these aren't the best conditions to fish, and most of us won't be able to fish the areas that we initially planned to fish but as long as we have safe conditions I think that we should fish.

Met Blair Wiggins too. Told him he was fishing one of my holes at St. Joe Bay when he won the FLW Redfish tournament last year.

Last night at the Captains' meeting it was announced that unless there is a MAJOR storm approaching our area for Saturday we will fish.
Check the red trout website Friday night for a cancellation notice. Registered anglers will also get a phone call if your number on the entry form is correct.

In spite of Wevans the Doomsayer the weather is calming as we speak. Saturday may be no more than a refreshing cool light breeze.
Except for where CaseyCook wants to fish. That will be rough, rough, rough.
