Alligator Point 5/21/06

This started off like any other, the buzz of my alarm clock tearing me away from a perfectly good bed. But the difference was no time to hit the snooze today for i was going fishing. My buddie picked me up at the crack of 6:30. We deiced to go to Alligator point and head off that way. We scout the point the first pass. Looking for what I consider to be good surf fishing conditions. The small beach where we stopped looked promising. With a light wind and rising tide we began to fish. For the first hour nothing. The I decided to take my casting rod and walk the beach or at least in front of the rocks and hopefully find the fish. Well 100 yards away I catch a keeper trout. I go get my buddie and tell him to bring his casting rod. Over the next two hours we catch a bunch of fish. The total goes like this; 14 trout 16-20", 2 flounder (1 of which was a keeper), 1 whiting, 3 black sea bass (1 of which was a keeper), and a bunch of hook ups that got to live another day. The black sea bass were a surprise for sure. I may have found Too True's little honey hole but outta respect I will not share with anyone else this spot. If it isn't his spot then alligator point is going off, or atleast has a few good spots to fish.
