I know this is for Bigbend but it may help someone. I fished a two day tourny with friday being a practice day. I did catch anything during practice and that really discouraged me. Saturday was not much better. I fished hard all day and caught one 2.5 #'s 15 minutes before weigh in. I was thankful even if it was little. Sunday was a different story. I caught one on the 4th cast about 4 lbs I caught a squeaker a few casts later. right after day break I caught my third fish about 5 lbs. I was much happier today than I was Saturday. I had the 4th fish an hour later about 3 pounds. Then nothing. Not a bite until 1030 I had a monster blow up and landed a 7.8 lb'er. I caught 18.3 lbs on the second day for a 3rd place finish. Now for the actual fishing report.

I threw a black horny toad ALL DAY! I threw it were there was shade and reeled it fairly fast. I got 6 bites and caught 6 fish (one was about 10"s). Other patterns were Junebug worms flipped in the grass and some schooling action early. That's what I heard from the other guys. I fish in the dead river and canals leading off of it all day Sunday. Most guys fished in Lake Harris and a few stayed in Eustis.

Chug, I fished the Harris Chain about 23 years ago. That's a vewry interesting place to fish.

Good catch and congrats on a 3rd place finish.
