Butterfly jigs

Any of you guys ever try these......I've been reading alot of good reports on them but have yet to buy just another lure for the ol' tackle box....any comments on them?

Well if your talk-in the Shimano system the whole thing is the rod, reel and jigs, cause it is their thing. However now other manufactures are making similar jigs, but I have not tried any as of yet.

Be advised they are considerably more expensive than diamond or the other flatter colored jigs. I've heard they out perform the others, but on two occasions I've seen both work just as well as the other.

See this report of mine on the FS board from a few weeks back. Pretty much sums up my opinion of them. The Williamson jigs are better than half the price and work just as well as far as I can tell so far.

thanks for the replies guys...they also have some at charkbait.com , for about 1/2 the price, not made by shimano, but I think they call them knife jigs or river two sea jig..... :thumbup: I remember that report nathan, from FS, that pic of the double hookup is a trip.... 8)
