Been fishing st marks, lanark and st joe the last 2 weeks. Reds have been good, but trout have been just so so, hit or miss. Today that seemed to change.

Got "permission" to go to the lighthouse. At the gate at 6am. Found a few reds in a favorite spot on what was left of the fall. Moved out to 18" - 3' and caught 12 or so nice trout on Topwater, all nice fish. Had many more blow ups including a gator trout that sent the saltwater sallee sailing out of the water .

First time this year that topwater was on for me even through the low. Riding back saw several boats pulling trout in. Is St Marks finally on?. Out at 11:30, almost on time .

GLAD TO HEAR THAT SOMEONE FINALLY CAUGHT SOME TROUT AT ST. MARKS ON TOP WATER. WE PLAN TO GO TUES. MORN. , HOPE THE TWO OLD MEN OF THE SEA AND ROY CAN FIND THEM .

A half-dozen reds each day, and a couple nice trout. Big schools of reds seemed slower than normal for this time of year .
