lower Bama red's

Had to do some work on the boat down at the island for the upcoming weekend, and it was just too nice not to go try for some reds. Took a buddy w/ me that had never caught a redfish over 2-3 lbs, so let's just say he was a little surprised
first one for him, right at 16 lbs.

Where was this guy when I needed him last year for the jack crev. jackpot

getting near dark thirty, I really wanted a redfish since I hadn't pulled one off the bar this year....so it was the ol' classic "One more drift.....". He hooked up and I started reeling in the other line....then stopped b/c it looked like he was out about 50 yards from the boat with his fish, so I just opened the bail and put the rod up high in the launchers, let out about 100 yards to keep it out of his way.......and
BAM.....we got doubled up....

All fish caught and released....got to love those circle hooks!
