no trespassing signs at alligator point

I went to Alligator Point today to play- had a couple of kids visiting my wife and I they wanted to go the the beach.
I love riding out to the tip of the point. Kids can play,
I can fish and it is away from the crowds. Best sun set around.
Well we drive all the way down, put the boat in and run down to find:

They were all up and down the beach.
Talked to the FWC people.
It is for the nesting birds and they stay up till August.
And Tom you are right- they have put them out in years past-
but the officer said people take them down.
He said that it is up to the officer but.....
As long as you do not go past the signs and do not harass the birds you should be fine.

Is it turtle season yet?? Call FWC and ask them....I appears to be a valid sign....There are some signs in St. Andrews bay that say wildlife sanctuary, no fishing or hunting, but there is no authority signatures under it...like FWC, EPA, etc.....So I fish it until I get told else wise.

Probably for the birds, like they did on the old SGI bridge during the mating season

Those signs have been there as long as I can remember. The whole end of the point after the road ends has been a sanctuary for a while.

There have been signs on the road and at the gate- but i dont remember seeing them out on the point. In fact I just pulled up some photos from last year and there are not any......
These are all along the beach right down to the tip. all about at the tide line.

I remember them being there a long time back. Its possible the old ones were washed away with Dennis and they just put up new ones.

so is it illegal to park at the gate and walk in to fish off the point?

I would call and ask-
The big issue may be parking your car at the gate.
