Sunday morning at 06:00 we will meet at the end of Bottoms road in Panacea and catch some Mullet then run out to Teresa's beach to catch some Tarpon. If you want to head straight for Teresa's beach, we should be there by 07:30 at latest.

Stopped by Bottoms road at 6:00. Nobody there. The bugs were very bad.

Went down to the landing just before St. Theresa nobody there either. I went myself for a couple hours. Didnt see any signs of poons. The birds were crashing bait so I followed them and caught a half dozen fish including a few run aways I never could slow down and they eventually bit through my 80lb leader. They didnt feel like tarpon though, big sharks I assume.

By the way, how do you guys handle sharks? It's a little unnerving thinking about one landing in the yak. That almost happened to me this morning trying to boga grip one. Dont really want to kill them either. They hit my tarpon plug when I was trolling. Didnt want to give up my plug.
Wind came up at 10:00 so I headed home.

I'm very sorry. Rob was the only one who responded so we made a weather decision to go to St. Marks. I thought my number was up there. Sorry we let you down.

I assume you guys communicated by PM. Lets try and summarize what we can from PM's on BBN. If one of us is lurking & can join a trip but needs more info then they (me :D ) can PM to find out what they need to know.
Just a suggestion.
Rob, thanks, I got the PM & glad to see you back on line. I stopped by one day recently & missed you.
Oh yeah, the 21st is a Wed & that is what I meant.
gotta run...

I did post that I would be there with Noaa's forecast then took it off when no one responded buy 5:30 am Sunday morn. Sorry!!
suber also has the shop # he called and stopped by a few times so that's how we worked it out.
I would have contacted any one that had posted interest in the trip. suber and I had no idea any one else was interested.

Sounds fun, abcarias! Would have loved to have been there and seen it! Definitely looking for some input for dealing with the toothy critters in the yak!

I'm sure the old salts will weigh in with some sage advice for a young pup such as myself. Gents?
