What is it? What the best thing you have had luck with lately? Soft baits and hard baits. Mine's been my gold and black Mirrowlure propbait. And pinfish swa on a straight jig.

Seatrout's answer gets my vote. I've caught more this year on Gulp shrimp that in many a year. Costly though.

Another vote for gulp shrimp. New penny is money, I've only used the 3" , but saw wally world has some larger ones. Speaking of money these things are something like 5 clams a bag.
As for what's not working....P Fish have let me down the last two trips. I can assure you cobes like the gulps too.

DO NOT leave one of those jokers on a jig head for a week and expect to get it off.

Come on Rocket. I thought that was part of the fun. Kind of like a Rubix Cube.

Weavens.....I've had a topdog , topdog jr., she dog for over 3 years. I caught one fish during this whole time on them....a ladyfish. They now sit next to my "smoo" in my tackle box. I been thinking about putting them in the barn as a wall ornament.

Me too.
As for the Gulp,put them in a cup of water after they dry out. They re-hydrate to full size and fish just fine.

Clear / sparkle soft plastic grub thingy (Walmart cheapo) on a red jighead. Under a CT or bounced on the bottom. Seems to catch fish every trip. They've even hit it just drifting under a CT behind the boat - and not just little fish, plenty over 20". It looks sorta like a poorman's DOA shrimp.
That gulp stuff is too $$ for my taste....I lose too many lures to spend that kind of dough on a soft plastic.

Now you tell me! I'm been carving them off with my pocket knife!

(In all fairness I've only had to do that twice

)
