So guys im about to score a new job and if I get this job I will be saving pretty hardcore for about 6 months and I am thinking of getting a new boat.
Right now I have a J16 which is really awsome but I wouold love more fishing space and rod holders, and a faster motor. I want to do offshore and inshore.
I am not talking about 60 miles off the coast or anything but something that can do Inshore and Offshore very well. So I have been thinking about getting a Key West and was wondering if any of you have had any experince with these?

I WOULD NOT INVEST IN A (NEW) BOAT. THERE ARE PLENTY OF GOOD BUYS OUT THERE YA CAN GET FOR LESS THAN 6 MONTHS PAYMENTS ON A NEW BOAT. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 22' AQUASPORT WITH A 115 EVINRUNDE AND ALUM. TRAILER FOR UNDER $4,000. DID A LITTLE COSMETIC WORK ON IT AND RESOLE FOR $8,000. THIS BOAT HAD EVERYTHING ON IT, SOME OF THE WIRING WAS MESSED UP AND I CORRECTED THAT AND SOLD IT 4 DAYS AFTER I LISTED IT . IT HAD EAGLE FISH FINDER PLOTTER, 6 LIFE JACKETS, 2 LIVE WELLS, BAIT WELL WITH PUMPS THAT HAD TO BE REWIRED, T-TOP, BILGE PUMP COMPASS, GPS, AND A BUNCH MORE. JUST MAKE SURE THE ENGINE IS WORKING PROPERLY BY RUNNING IT IN THE WATER FOR ABOUT A HR OR MORE, DO NOT EVER BUY A USED OUTFIT BEFORE RUNNING IT IN THE WATER ON A LAKE OR BAY FIRST, IF THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT YOU WILL FIND IT OUT IN ABOUT AN HOURS RUNNING. THERE ARE PLENTY OUT THERE SO DO NOT BE IN A BIG HURRY TO BUY.

Are you thinking new or used? Key West is a fine boat but there are plenty of fine models to choose from and everyone has their own oppinion. Think seriously about the options you want then go from there.
