I started early before sun up on a small spider trail out to the beach. paddle out with bait fish already stirring I begun to catch trout on jumbo chug bug.
as the sun peered over the distant tree line I see two other yakers paddling out. move closer to say hey and it was Littoral and his friend Bill.
we chat for a min. about the day's strategy then I was off to attempt to catch my first trout or red with a fly .
the wind started out light from the north so I found a spot and anchored.
I hook up with a whopper on my jumbo bug.
so I figure it's time to try and fly. pull out a carturce and mylar closer minnow a friend gave me awhile back and hooked up with my first trout!!!
the wind went calm then eased in from the south.
a great day fishing with a tally of 4 trout and one lady fish.
cant wait to go again. back home and cleaning fish for Dinner by 2:30
