Anybody seen any scallops while fishin?

What Chalk said. So scallopers stay at home this weekend, leave the water to us fishermen.

Fished this morning. Didn't see 1 scallop.

I think they are all dead....no scallops....dont bother lookin....

Truthfully, I have not seen any scallops at St. Joe. But I honestly havn't taken the time to look for them. And while I'm being so honest, I hope there ain't nary a one at SJB.

Haven't seen any at St. Marks.

pat mcgriff told me last week he went from the channel at keaton beach to Grassy Island (south towards Steinhathcee) (the Scalloper's gathering area) and saw 1 single-lone scallop... said it will be a month or so or longer...

Amen BD. I am not trying to be dump on the scallopers, but scallop season tends to bring out the worst boaters in the world. Many have forgotten how to launch a boat and clog up the ramps, fishermen cant drift a flat because of scallopers anchored up with their dive flags out and boating courtesy tends to go out the window during scallop season. People who havent cared a bit about the gulf all year, load 15 people onto their pontoon boat and invade the waters that we fishermen hold dear. I am sure this doesnt pertain to all scallopers but there are enough of the bad ones out there to put a bad taste in my mouth for scallop season.

Littoral usually gives us a scallop outlook/report....
